Line Specific Requirements:
Ethics
3 hrs - Producers must complete 3 hrs in Ethics as part of total requirement
Annuity
4 hrs - Producers must complete a one-time annuity training course approved for at least 4 hours before selling, soliciting or negotiating annuity products in Ohio.
Flood
3 hrs - Property/Casualty producers who sell flood insurance must complete a one-time 3 hr course on flood insurance and NFIP before selling.
Long-Term Care (LTC) Insurance
8/4 hrs - Producers wanting to sell LTC policies in OH must complete an 8 hr state-approved training course prior to selling and 4 hrs of ongoing training biennially thereafter.
Compliance Renewal Date:
License renewal date is every 2 years ending on the last day of the producer's birth month.
Carryover Hours: Effective February 1, 2016: Producers may carry over CE credit hours to be applied as general credit hours to the next renewal period. Carry-over CE credits may not exceed 50% of the renewal requirement.
Course Repetition:
Courses may not be taken for credit more than once in a renewal period.
