Requirements:

Hour Requirements: 24 hrs biennially

Line Specific Requirements:

  • At least 18 of the 24 credits must be license specific

Ethics3 hrs - Producers must complete 3 hrs in Ethics as part of total requirement 

Annuity - 4 hrs - Producers must complete a one-time annuity training course approved for at least 4 hours before selling, soliciting or negotiating annuity products

Flood - 3 hrs - P&C producers who also sell Flood insurance must complete a one-time 3-hour class on Flood Insurance and the NFIP 

Long-Term Care Partnership - 16 hrs/5 hrs - Producers must complete an initial 16 hour training course prior to selling LTC products.  Eight credits of the 16 ​must be on general LTC and the other 8 credits must be specific to LTC Partnership and must be taken in a classroom setting. Producers must complete a 5 hr ongoing training biennially, thereafter.

Homeowners3 hrs - P&C/Personal Lines producers must complete 3 hrs of CE on Homeowners insurance biennially.

Claims-Made - 2 hrs - All producers engaged in the sale, consultation, or adjustment of claims-made policies must complete a one-time 2 hour course on claims-made policies.​

Compliance Renewal Date: License renewal date is every 2 years ending on the last day of the producer's birth month. 

Course Repetition: Courses may not be taken for credit more than once in a renewal period.  Completion dates of a duplicated course must be at least 24 months apart.

Carryover Allowance:  A maximum of 12 hours, completed within 120 days of renewal date, may be carried over to the following compliance period.
